ABOUT US

Many times in recent years, media arts industries have been called out and criticized for their lack of representativity and inaccurate portrayal of diverse skin tones. The call sparked conversations about the need for change both on screen and behind the camera.

Progress is happening but there is still a long way to go.

As technologies are quickly evolving, Inclusive Pixels aims to provide practitioners with the necessary tools, community support, knowledge and resources they need to specifically address challenges surrounding an equitable representation of the entire spectrum of skin tones.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The first step is happening now, as media arts professionals, artists, creative technologists, researchers, engineers, equity-seeking groups, equipment services and manufacturers are invited to participate in qualitative and quantitative research through surveys, interviews and focus groups.
